Affordable Housing Program

Our service paradigm has evolved since I took on the role of the Regional Territory Director for Caring Spirits of AZ several months ago. As an operator of Caring Spirits, we bring a unique focus on the homeless, low-income demographic. In only a few months, 10 of the most vulnerable population (from various backgrounds and situations) have found permanent residency in a program that's affordable, covers their basic living needs and helps our residents thrive.

Another unique contribution is the navigation service we offer to people that we can't house immediately. The truth is that we'll never have enough space to meet the demand. That's why we complete the application during the assessment, put them on the waiting list and then offer navigation services to help them with their present challenges.

Our most vulnerable resident is a perfect example of how this model works. He moved into his apartment two months after he applied. During the interim period I helped navigate him to services, but I also stayed in contact with his case manager and others so that when we housed him he had everything in place to start a new life. It would've been easy to say, "Sorry brother, but I can't help you," shake hands and leave... but that's not my way. I can't do that; I'm too empathetic.

I'm touched by the stories I hear when I do outreach work. So many people are merely the victims of abuse, neglect & declining health. My heart aches for them, but I feel their elation wash over me as I explain the benefits of our program. Our clients love this program, the industry loves us, and we're expanding much faster than anyone could've anticipated.

Of course, this is just the beginning; its more of a prototype, really. Exciting things are in development, so we'll keep you updated as things progress.

Peace.

A map of immigration, refugee, and citizenship resources for youth and adults. Most websites provide instruction and have the necessary forms available for download. You can apply/renew citizenship benefits on your own, or get help applying for little to no cost. Legal counsel services are also available to eligible immigrants.
